Plain-language terms of use.
These terms govern your use of signalbrief.us and the reports we publish. If you subscribe and we agree to anything specific to you, that agreement takes precedence over this page.
1. What Signal Brief is
Signal Brief is editorial research content, weekly hiring-signal reports and, on request, per-person research briefs. It is not financial advice, hiring advice, legal advice, or investment advice. We cite our sources so you can verify what we say, and you should.
2. Access
Signal Brief is currently in early access, offered by invitation or on request. We may approve or decline access at our discretion. If we accept you as a subscriber, access is for you and your immediate team, not for redistribution, resale, or training machine-learning models.
3. Acceptable use
- Use the content for your work, reading it, acting on it, sharing an individual report with a colleague inside your firm.
- Do not republish reports publicly, post them to Slack communities outside your firm, or resell them.
- Do not use our content to train an LLM or to build a competing data product.
- Do not attempt to scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the site.
4. Payment & cancellation
Pricing is quoted individually and set out in your subscription agreement or invoice. You may cancel at any time by emailing contact@signalbrief.us. We do not refund partial periods by default; if the product stopped working for you, tell us. We will usually refund.
5. Accuracy & no warranty
We work hard to get things right and every signal is cited. But companies change direction, public sources contain errors, and hiring plans get pulled. We provide the content as-is, without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. If you spot something wrong, please tell us. We correct errors and note them in the next issue.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from Signal Brief is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. If you paid us nothing, our liability is limited to USD $100.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be dated at the top. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
